I love teaching, That is why I quite my Job as a Management Trainee in a fastfood and apply for a teaching position in our province Zamboanga del Norte. I applied in several schools of three divisions in our province including my alma matter and rank as number 1 in some schools. I'm very excited to be part of them but none of them hired me after frequent followed up until such time that one school (school which I did not apply because it is very far from the our place) called me if I'm still interested to teach and I definitely answered "yes" because I'm very eager to teach.
I immediately went to the school. It takes 4 hours to travel. The only means of transportation is "habal habal". As I arrived, the principal was Dr. Rosela Frayna. She was very approachable. She gave me the list of requirements for me to accomplish.
1. CSC Form 212 in two copies with the latest 2x2 ID picture
2. Certified photocopy of PRC professional identification card or a PRC
certification showing the teacher's name,
3. LET rating, and other information
recorded in the PRC Office
4. Certified photocopy of ratings obtained in the Licensure Examination for
Teachers (LET)/Professional Board Examination for Teachers (PBET)
5. Certified copy of transcript of records
6. Copies of service records, performance rating, and school clearance for those
with teaching experience.
7. Certificates of specialized training, if any.
8. Certified copy of the Voter's ID and/or any proof of residency as deemed
acceptable by the School Screening Committee
9. NBI Clearance
10. Omnibus certification of authenticity and veracity of all documents
submitted, signed by the applicant.
I complied all the documents needed in just two days. I started teaching as volunteer teacher while waiting for the item to come but nothings happen after 3 months. My Principal follow up my papers in the division office and the staff could not locate my papers but she noticed that the item was filled in already with other person and assign it in other school. She brought my pertinent papers to the Local School Board for LSB teaching position. But it's OK for me since my Principal did her best.
